Highly eventful first day - hoping the bike can be saved! - Greece After 81 miles of mountains, dogs and 45 degree heat, we've finally made it to Delphi. 120km to ride tomorrow! - Greece In Patras for the ferry to Italy - another 80 mile day today! - Greece Despite the late start from Bari - 60 miles done and stopped for pizza. This is more like it - Spinazzola, Barletta-Andria-Trani 100 miles yesterday, 50 so far today and we're just about across Italy! - Mignano Monte Lungo, Caserta Campeggio numero uno. We finally found one! Will hopefully blog tomorrow - Cassino, Frosinone Will blog when we finally find some wifi! About 20km outside Roma - headed in along via Appia tomorrow morning - Castel Gandolfo, Rome 100km and we're through Rome, by the side of another lake. Towards Siena tomorrow - Caprarola, Viterbo 125km today - been through Siena and the hills of Tuscany, headed to Pisa for late breakfast tomorrow! - Capannori, Lucca Finally hit the med - 135km day! Should be in France in 3 days - Levanto, La Spezia Another great day along the riviera - also bumped into the Italian government's director of sport for the region! - Cogoleto, Genoa 10 days in Italy and we're 10km from the border. Menton for breakfast - Bordighera, Imperia In Menton for our rest day #weneededit - Menton, Alpes-Maritimes - Menton, Alpes-Maritimes Half way up our second big col of the Alps - Saint-Martin-Vésubie, Alpes-Maritimes 105km through the Alps - Col de la Bonnette tomorrow. 50km climb from here to 2715m. Gulp - Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée, Alpes-Maritimes At the foot of the Col de Vars.
